DescriptionLight yellow silk brocade with dagged peplum, gold braid "swirled" down front, collar and pointed fold-back sleeve. Lace falling below elbow cuff, down both sides of front opening and as a small flat collar on wide neckline. Lace under dagged peplum.
This dress consists of a skirt with 2 seperate waists, 1 formal and the other less formal. b) The skirt is of heavy yellow satin with pleated self-ruffle at the bottom: the skirt is covered with an all-over embroidered white lace, attached in an oval shape in the front & back, showing the satin underskirt. Skirt has small train. A Formal Bodice: heavily boned and hooked and laced down the front. Neckline is trimmed in gold braid and gold crystal beads. The front panels combine gold brocade and yellow lace over yellow satin. The sleeves are 3/4 length with brocade insets in the puffed shoulder. The back is gored and comes to a point. c) Informal bodice: The fabric is gold brocade, combined with white satin and gold braid trim; beautiful white lace is used at the collar, 2 front panels and around peplum and in the 3/4 length sleeves. It is lined with yellow tafeta and is also heavily boned. Both waists have dress shields. The dress is exquisitely made in every detail. All the seams are hand-bound.
