DescriptionRed and gold brocade box holding ivory chop with "His Honorable William B. Franke" inscribed in Chinese. One side engraved in black with mountains and trees. Chinese characters on opposite side. Round covered ivory stamp pad, with scene of trees, rocks, and boat on cover. Card inside addressed to "His Honorable William B. Franke." Note inside imprinted "Mrs. Ni Yue-Si." Note handwritten "His Honorable"/May I have the honor to present to you a chop/with your full name inscribed in Chinese as/a reminder of your most/welcomed visit to Taiwan/China. Respectfully/Adm.
