DescriptionLarge humanoid mask is made of wood and roughly carved, especially on inside. Brow, forehead, and long nose rise high above cheek plane. A depiction of a cedar ring is carved into the top of the mask. Eyes in shallow relief rest on the flat cheek plane. There is a deep groove below the nose which runs down either side of the chin, emphasizing the upper lip. On each cheek there is a line perpendicular to the nose, through which are four dashes, painted in blue. Also a blue mark on either side, located between the eyes and the designs. Blue paint is within the groove below the nose and on the nostrils. This paint emphasizes th eyebrows, eyes, folds in the cedar ring, bottom lip, and a bearded configuration on the chin. There are two wooden braces that go across either side of the mask on the back.On View
