DescriptionWooden ladle with large oval bowl and long, wide handle. The handle is angled to a dull point at the very end and has a large hole in the end of it. The handle tapers slightly toward the bowl and is attached to the bowl with some kind of glue possibly as no nails or rivets are visible. The bowl is stained with a dark reddish sticky substance. This may be left-over food or oil staining. The bowl is worn on the left side suggesting that the scooping has been from the right to left. The entire piece has a gentle overall curve. On View
