DescriptionDark blue satin with embroiderd medallion on front, back and shoulders. Medallions have the four-clawed Mang dragon. Center opening with loops, no buttons, back slit. Lining of light blue silk. For important court events the law required that the pufu be worn over the semi-formal dragon robe. This robe probably belonged to a prince below the second rank because the imperial medallions have the four-clawed mang dragon. Within medallions: Taoist good luck symbols: bat, the 8 precious things, swstika, flaming pearl. Waves, clouds. Front-facing dragon.
