DescriptionA sheet of four unsigned bank notes that is uncut and printed in black and orange ink. The first two notes are one dollar. The upper portion, slightly to the right of center, is the Capital building of Wash. D.C. To the left is a young lady framed by an oval containing the names of the states. The word constitution is found at the top of the oval frame. Another oval frame is rendered beneath depicting the interior of a factory. To the right is a woman with a spear and shield holding the number one which is of leaf design. In the upper center of the two dollar note is a small woman holding a bow and quiver surrounded by an oval which is inlayed with smaller ovals. On the left is an oval of the interior of a factory, below this is an oval of a man's head; There are flags on both sides of the oval in the center and a drum on the right side; To the right is a woman holding a spear-like object; The five dollar note has in the center the symbol of prosperity and liberty which on both sides is a woman seated, between them is a striped wshield; On the left is a bald eagle, wings spread clutching the striped shield; Below the eagle is the oval of the factory interior; On the left is an oval of George Washington; All notes have in hte center, "Bank of the Union, Washington, D.C. Will pay (one, two, three) dollars to (the first, second, third, and forth notes); Je. Mattingly, Ja. Lyons, Jn. Graeme, and W. Gnynn, or bearer in Virginia, Money, when The five dollars are presented; _____Cash, ______Pres. In the bottom center fo each note is a dog laying down; On each note the amount, (one, two, three) has been printed in orange below the Bank Union;
