DescriptionA sheet of two uncut and uncirculated, sample bank notes.  On top, a three dollar note features an eagle drinking from a cup held by a woman, an Indian with horse watching a train and two women with harvest.  The twenty dollar bill on the bottom features a harbor with urban scene on left and rural scene on right.  Black ink printed on white paper.  Two proofs for Bank Notes issued by State of Vermont Commercial Bank, Burlington.  The upper one is a $3.00 note with 3 scenes--an eagle drinking from a cup held by a woman; an Indian watching a train; two women with harvest.  The lower one is a $20.00 note with a single scene--urban on the left and rural on the right.  All notes have; State of Vermont, The Commercial Bank, WIll pay (one,two) dollars to Ethan Allen or bearer on demand, Burlington____18____.,____cash,____Pres.  All notes have the Vermont state seal at the bottom center.1847-1850
