DescriptionOffering slab (an offering table is a real table). This was really an altar upon which food offerings and libations were presented to the spirit of the dead. The vases are hes vases, the traditional Egyptian libation vases. The shallow groove is meant to catch liquids poured onto the slab and drain them off the "spout) White color (limestone?)(old data entry)Limestone rectangle carved in low relief on one surface to represent two libation vases, framed by runnels which would have emptied any fluid offering thru the square spout. Tall water pots?
