DescriptionOffering slab (an offering table is a real table). This was really an altar upon which food offerings and libations were presented to the spirit of the dead. The vases are hes vases, the traditional Egyptian libation vases. The shallow groove is meant to catch liquids poured onto the slab and drain them off the "spout) White color (limestone?)
