DescriptionTwo-piece wedding dress of lilac/pink satin brocaded silk. Bodice has jeweled neck, front hook and eye closures down front of bodice and is very fitted, boned, and lined in brown cotton. A pleated panel descends from the shoulders and is caught in at the waist. There are shirred panels set into the sleeves which are lined in beige silk. The pagoda sleeves and pleated panels are edged with lilac/beige silk fringes. Pleated skirt at waist. Double ruffle on each sleeve, close to shoulder. Embroidered white lace collar in excellent condition. Gold fringe on front vest panels and at bottom of belled sleeves.
Skirt 1946.23.16 c. 2212 - cartridge pleated onto a waistband. lined in brown glazed cotton.
