DescriptionTerra cotta head fragment of a larger pieces. The head is hollow in the back but the neck is solid. The headdress is a crest which runs from the center of the forehead straight back. The lips are protruding and down at the corners. The nose is small and the eyes and lower lids are painted black with bitumin. The ears are modelled from rolls of clay. The naturalistically-modelled features are characteristic of Classic Veracruz, however their proportions are strange and so is the feel of the clay.
