DescriptionLarge oblong taupe cashmere shawl, partial borders embroidered in silk? in a compact pattern of flowers and buti. The colors are blue and grey with purple outlines. Corner motif of one large both surrounded by flowers. The fact that half the design is worked right side up and half is worked on the reverse, suggests that this shawl was intended to be folded lengthwise, not on the diagonal, to be worn correctly.
