DescriptionOne-piece day dress made of green/black silk poplin. Gigot sleeves have small turn back cuff of brown velvet. At strip of pleats edged by a flared bias band is present at the top of the sleeve, just below the shoulder line. The bodice has an oval neck. The front bodice is cut in one on the cross, including the flat pleats which descend from the shoulderline to cross at the center front in a fan formation. The pleats are stayed at the center front by three rows of bias cording which form arcs and are stitched through the pleating onto the lining. The skirt fullness is stitched in flat pleats onto the waistband of the bodice. There is a bias band of the same fabric at the hem. A bias cord covers the seam of the skirt and bias band. The bias band is lined in brown glazed cotton; the bodice, in linen. .6 Cape, .7 Sash of black with black satin stripe down center and green satin clover designs on either side. 30"x2-1/2".On View
