DescriptionTwo piece afternoon dress of green/black plaid corded silk taffeta. The back of the skirt is cartridge pleated onto the waistband, which is of a tiny brown cotton print. The front of the skirt is eased on. The waistband hooks closed at the center front, the center front panel overlapping and closed again at the left side front. There is a hidden pocket in the right side front seam. The skirt is trimmed with three rows of green velvet ribbon and plaid bows with fringed ribbon ends, similar to the bodice trim. It is lined in dark green glazed cotton. The lower edge of the bodice hooks onto the skirt just below the waistband to secure the two pieces at intervals. The skirt hem is bound in wool twill tape.
