DescriptionSpoon with large bowl and carved figure handle. By the lack of signs of wear from use, it was perhaps intended for tourists. The oversize bowl is another indication. The figure has a rounded head and the face is pointed in front with a small mouth and two shallow, diamond-shaped eyes. Ears are smaller and stick out. He is upright, with hands on thighs. The nipples are prominent. The body form itself is very stylized - angular and sharp especially on the backside and the shoulders. A ridge extends from the base to the center of the bowl.On View
