DescriptionBronze. The hindu god shiva, the supreme lord of the dance, is depicted in the act of dancing at the center of the universe. one right hand sounds the drum in the beat of time, the other hand is posed to give protection to his devotees. one left hand holds the sacred flame representing the fire of sacrifice and the other is in a pose signifying refuge to seekers of his love. the left foot tramples down the dwarf muyalagam, signifying the stampling down of evil.
