DescriptionA "whole cloth" type quilt, the top is made of a piece of kalamkari (block-printed/handpainted) cotton fabric in a multi-colored floral design, featuring a central medallion surrounded by banded borders of flowers on an off-white ground. The back is of commercially printed calico with an all-over design of flowers and buti motifs in red on white. Applied border piece of blue cotton cut on the bias. The whole quilt is hand-pieced and quilted.On View
