DescriptionA small cloth prayer mat made of two layers of printed cotton, chintz fabric handstitched together. Applied border strip of a third printed fabric around edges on reverse side. Printed design on the front side features a large pointed arch filled with small buti and flowers, surrounded by a border of niches filled with more buti and floral motifs. A small cartouche filled with Arabic looking script sits atop the arch design. Is this a Muslim prayer mat? Lining is printed with a design of stylized flowers.On View
