DescriptionAn octagonal lid from a box; the exterior is covered in red paper (simulated leather); there are two holes (one on either side) that must have been part of the original and hinges; on the back screw holes from which fittings have been removed; on the bottom edge two notches with holes which formerly held hinges; on the edges gold paper; the drawing shows a group of multicolored feathers; the most identifiable of which is an ostrich feather.On View
