DescriptionSticks are carved and gilded mother-of-pearl in a floral design. The leaf is paper decorated with a printed border with niches surrounding three surroundings of lithographed scenes. The border is gilded with painted figures in the niches and a pair of animals fighting at their feet. The two outside medallions show spanish peasants dancing, the larger central scene shows a family in an ox-drawn cart with two peasants dancing by the roadside. The left hand medallion contains part of a signiture on the lower right side - (Alexa..., D...) The reverse side has a border printed in blue and gold with gold female figures standing beneath the central arch of the design on each side.
