DescriptionTwo-piece ivory silk satin and brocade wedding dress. The skirt is made of the satin, cartridge pleats have been formed just to the right of the center back. This was done by tacking the fabric to the lining. There is a lace-edged organdy ruffle sewn to the lining above the hemline for support, and the hem is corded for additional fullness. It is draped with brocade over the left side front continuing around to meet the center back. It has been pulled up into folds of drapery at the left side back. The bodice is very fitted with a swallow tail back, small roll collar and tight three quarter length sleeves. The bodice closes in the center front where there are two satin panels which create a vest effect, with a "sweetheart" neckline, closure by self covered buttons. The neckline and edges of the brocade bodice are trimmed with 3" eased strip of bobbin tape lace. Bodice is boned and lined in the same tan cotton cambric as is the skirt. On View
